Many of you message me about motivation. You ask me as if I have a secret to eating well and sticking with my workout plans.
Sadly, there isn’t. The truth of the matter is that MOTIVATION COMES FROM WITHIN. If you want it bad enough, you’ll do what you have to do.
There are some things you can do to help your motivation, however:
Think about how you feel after you binge or miss a workout. Do you feel happy? Probably not. You probably feel lots of regret, anxiety, maybe even anger.
Think about what made you binge or miss a workout. Were you just bored? Did you have a bite then decide “the hell with it” and eat it all? Did you think “oh i’m too tired right now” ?
Find ways to combat these triggers. If you want something sweet or bad for you, if you HAVE to have a bite. have one or two. But just because you had a cookie, doesn’t mean you have to eat the whole box. You CAN stop at anytime. You can put your fork down, you can pull your head out of the toilet, you can make yourself get in the car and go to the gym.
Trust me, if you make yourself get dressed and go to the gym, you WILL find the energy to work out. you just have to take that initial step.
PLANNING will help so much with sticking with your diet and exercise. Plan your meals the day/night before and prepare them. Plan a time to exercise and GO then. do not say “well i can do it later” bc you don’t know if something will come up later. Exercising at the same time everyday or however your schedule works is best for sticking with it. For example, i workout on on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 10 bc i have a long break between classes. But on MWF i workout at 7 am. Sat and Sun I workout at 9 am.
FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL.
